Modes of Instrument Control

Elements, signals, and terminology of certain basic automatic control systems. Modes of control discussed include: on-off, proportional, proportional plus reset, proportional plus derivative, and proportional plus reset plus derivative.

Prerequisites: Working knowledge of physics and measurement of process variables; proficiency in drawing and interpreting graphs; and ability to work with fractions, decimals and percentages as necessary.
