The operation of a tungsten inert gas welding torch: detailed description of preparation of a TIG torch: setting the power supply unit and the inert gas flow, protective equipment, striking and holding a TIG arc, forming a weld puddle and moving it a short distance, shutting down the equipment. Practical exercises are included for each section of the course.
Prerequisites - Some familiarity with oxyacetylene and metal-arc welding terms and principles and the ability to understand simple drawings and diagrams.
