Elements, signals, and terminology of certain basic automatic control systems. Modes of control discussed include: on-off, proportional, proportional plus reset, proportional plus derivative, and proportional plus reset plus derivative.

Prerequisites - Working knowledge of physics and measurement of process variables (Course Number 49); proficiency in drawing and interpreting graphs (Course Number 78); and ability to work with fractions (Course Number 30), decimals and percentages (Course Number 60)as necessary.
