The trainee becomes familiar with measuring elements, their classification, purpose, and basic principles of operation. Sixty percent of the course time is used to discuss U-tube and well-type manometers.
Prerequisites - Familiarity with addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division of whole numbers (Course Number 29), fractions (Course Number 30), and decimals (Course Number 60). Basic understanding of pressure and its various units is also required (Course Number 31). Familiarity with primary detecting elements (Course Number 72).
