Course Number 36 Level Measurement - Electrical Devices 3.5 hours of instruction Format: Programmed Instruction Self-study Price: $20.50 |
Measuring and detecting the level of liquids and solids with electrical
devices. Single-point level devices, such as ball floats, diaphragms, and
rotating paddles that activate electrical switches; continuous liquid level
measurement with a float-actuated cable rotating a multiple-turn potentiometer;
donut float containing magnets actuating follower magnet on cable; level
detection with conductivity electrodes; and level detection with a vibrating
paddle actuated by a solenoid.
Prerequisites - Working knowledge of electricity and familiarity with sight and float
instruments (Course Number 33).
